Samniang Thai Silk Cooperative
Samniang Thai Silk is a family cooperative in Pak Thong Chai, Thailand, an area in the northeast of the country that is famous for hand weaving silk. In order to grow their family business to meet greater demand, the family co-op decided to increase their silk production by introducing a few weaving machines set up in village backyards. Providing jobs to the locals within the community.
The dyes used in the silk dyeing process are low impact, with a certification to guarantee its safety, inspected by authorities annually. The production of mulberry silk fabrics here is a combination of traditional hand dyeing techniques and innovative technologies to offer a high quality silk product.
All silk yarns are sustainably sourced from Chul Thai Silk, which offer high-quality silk produced in Thai community sericulture projects.
