The People

At RARE & FAIR we don’t just tell you where and how your clothes are made, but introduce you to the very people that make them!  This means you genuinely see the reach of your purchasing power and its impacts.  What if your next purchase helped keep communities resilient and safe, put a child through education, while at the same time protected local water sources and wildlife?

We aim to work solely with village co-operatives, small family businesses and young local designers in the production of our fabrics, clothing and accessories. Through co-operatives the work of many hand weaving artisans come together, creating unique products while the benefits of trade can be shared between a greater number of individuals.  Many of our local artisans join together as small co-operatives and register to the One Tambun One Product (OTOP) programme. OTOP is a local entrepreneurship stimulus programme of the Royal Thai Government that supports locally made and marketed products from each of Thailand’s sub-districts.  You can meet and learn more about the wonderful, talented people we work with below.
